I am so stoked after the maiden flight of my Super Sportster 60!! The O.S. 61 FX pulls it very nicely with lots of vert and even inverted climbing. My instructor got it airborne and trimmed it out, after very minor adjustments it was soaring like an eagle! WOW! I am so hooked! After about 5 min of trim flight, I was handed the controls and never looked back. I even landed a dead stick on my first landing attempt. It was actually going to be a low pass for alignment practice, but my instructor said go full power and go around again and when I did, the engine sputtered and quit! So I glided it in dead from about 10-15' up to a nice soft touch on the end of the grass runway. Next flight, of three total, I was asked to takeoff, and with a little pre-flight coaching, I lifted it off the ground inside of 25'. A lil conservative maybe, but it was my first takeoff ever
. My second lading was a wonder to see, perfect runway alignment, easy glide plane, a perfect touchdown on the mains, coasting to a stop after 30ft. Third flight was a repeat of second with a few stunts thrown in... I HAD to try a loop[8D] Today we fly again! What an addiction! I love it!!!!Thanks to all who helped me in the forums before my first flight, I couldn't have done it w/o ya!

Congrats Luke! Ain't the Sportster a great plane? I know you don't have much to compare it to, but trust me, it'll be one of the best flying planes you're likely to own.
Now! You've had some real success already, but I'll caution you about getting cocky. It will catch you if you're not careful. Trust me, I know.

Thanks Geist
Yeah, most of the radio gear was in great shape, just a minor switch break, no sweat to fix. [8D]
I can't wait to fly one of those sportsters again! What a dream of a plane, so smooth and stable!
