Default How to clean an engine

What is the proper way to clean a glow powered engine. Do you use the same fuel that it runs or can you use something like WD40?

Default RE: How to clean an engine

After a day /minute --of flying ,Drain all the fuel out of the plane..I always take out the glow plug ,put some After~Run oil in the glow plug hole ,Put some in the carb. Turn the engine over by hand slowly .Turn the plane upside down -drain out the excess A/R oil.Put the Glow plug back in ,Plug the carb with a small piece of cloth ,or paper towel..Wash it down with WD-40 or any good eng.cleaner solvent --I like to use Freezer baggies over the motor--Keeps the mess off your car/truck floor..Keeps the wife /girlfriend Happy too *G*..Rubber band will keep it on the motor--Just my $.02 worth --I think I read this in a Clarence Lee review
