Default smoke system colors?

Hi I was wondering if there was any addatives I could put with my smoke oil to make it a different color? I wish they made a smoke oil that produced a different color that just white. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Default RE: smoke system colors?

Colored smoke is almost always a smoke flair. or a pyrotechnic device. it is VERY dufficult to get anything except white by injecting oils in a muffler. (unless the oil catches on fire then you could get black... or a chared mess falling out of the sky that used to be your airplane)

There are a couple of companies selling appx 3 min colored smoke flares for use on model airplanes. not cheap... so you probably wouldn't use them much in your practice sessions. You could electricly ignite them in flight so you don't have to take off with the smoke getting essentially wasted. But once ignited you would be committed to burining the entire flare.
