You don't neet plans, really. Just move the main gear forward - about one inch ahead of the CG. Put a tail wheel attached to the fuselage with a connection to the rudder so the tail wheel follows the rudder and you're all set.

I have just started to convert a duraplane to tailwheel and they have told me in these posts that if you are training on using a tailwheel, the centerline of the main gear should be lined up with the leading edge of the wing.

That is not always true. What ALWAYS works is moving the main gear a minimum of 1 inch forward (towards the nose) of the center of gravity. The gear can often be moved farther forward to better ground handling.

I've been building for over 30 years, and this hasn't failed yet. If you look aroud a bit, you will find many planes with the main gera out of alignment with the leading edge of the wing. By the way, which leading edge should the gear align with on a biplane? Or Triplane? How about a Canard? See what I mean.

When you're done the conversion, don't forget to check your CG before trying to fly it...make sure it's where it was before you started moving things around and bolting on a tailwheel!

What if i just moved them to where the front rubber band hold down dowel is. Slightly in front of leading edge?
