Yeah the sun shines on every dog's .... sorry, just wanted to brag about the absolutely OUTSTANDING day I had flying today. No sun, cloudy, calm early on then a little wind. Got a flight early on off the buddy box with one of the "old farts", then the check ride instructor showed up and I would like to say I flew all greasers for him, but I must have been doing something right because he signed me off, and I'm and official Fentress NALF R/C pilot. Whoo hoo! Got another good flight in, then bounced a landing, hit the prop and stalled the engine. Somebody likes me, because even though it was a wood prop, no splinters, no cracks, just a little rash on one tip, I was able to start the plane right there on the runway and finish the flight. Even got some wind later on, not much, maybee gusts to 6 mph or so, just enough to make it interesting. It'll be wednesday before I can get the grin off my face. I hope everybody else has as good a time this weekend wherever you're flying!

CONGRATULATIONS a65l !!! Man are you lucky, you live in a beautiful Town and a beautiful State, and now YOU fly in a beautiful site. I used to be stationed in Oceana, what a nice place !! I miss the NALF flying, the awesome Ice Cream on that road, and the sound of the Jets flying all over the place. Enjoy many many years of R/C and now please teach somebody else to fly, "Pay-it-forward". GOOD LUCK !!!!!!

Geistware... wouldn't count on tomorrow being better, but I'm with you in "hoping".
Today was supposed to have been my first outing in many moons... but yeah, it was pretty yucky.

Lucky you!
I know we live a few light years apart but it just hosed down here and we didn't want to waist a trip down to the club(45 mins away). Maybe we can set up a club here.
