Default Rebuild wing on PT-60

It probably would have been just as easy to build a new wing, but I decided to save the fiberglassed wingtips.

Damn good job. Doesn't look like it was ever in pieces.

Default PT-60 meets all of my goals.

I finally got the PT-60 back in the air. It flew very nicely for five 15+ minute flights. I must confess that I did nothing but hold the trainer switch for the better part of an hour. With the 1" extension on the rudder, it appears that the plane will be capable of decent knife edge flight. The only thing that we asked of it that it did not do well was spins. This will be an excellent machine to introduce beginners to the hobby. My Hobbico Superstar will definitely see reduced flight time. I will bring the Superstar out for beginning take offs and landings. With the Magnum XL91RFS four stroke, this is a trainer that will be hard to match. Hopefully it will see hundreds of flights before the next rebuild.

Thanks for all the pictures of the birth, death and re-birth of this airplane. Very instructive!
