Default MY TRAINER ROCKS

I put a super tigre 51 ringed engine in my superstar 40 and it flat out flys!!! It does every bit of65mph and had unlimited vertical. "normal" trainer speeds are acheived at 1/4 throttle and it hovers at about 1/2 or 3/4 throttle! I see a fun fly plane for this one!

I agree 100%, I have seen this happen to a trainer with a .46 up front. Be very careful unless you have taken out most of the dihedral. These birds aren't designed to go very fast.

Glad you are having so much fun though...

Fly the covering off of it, but don't snap the wing.

Yep.. learn some thrttle management.

FAST is great for straight and level (till you get so fast that something flutters...) But a hard pull at high speed will rip the wing in half.

Warned a guy his surfaces were fluttering from too much speed a season ago. Next time he came out to the field I watch it go in and helped him pick up the mess. Even broke the ST75 and stripped 3 of the 4 servos. Pretty impressive crash for a 60 size trainer......

LHS should have this. I use Nylon fiber bonded with CA to the wings center where the wings join together on all my planes that will have high stress. Sand the center smooth and you will have a wing that is strong at the joint. Then cover as usual.
