ON,
Im wondering if someone has some good ideas about covering an lt-40 both for the cool factor and for for visability. Pictures of even a photoshopped picture would really help. just want some ideas.

I do not have a LT-40, but I do have a smaller size LT-25 that is very similiar to the LT-40 in all other aspects. I like Warbirds a lot, so I covered my first plane with the P-51 trim scheme. You can check out the photos [link=http://photos.yahoo.com/tkjpop]here[/link]

Basics are:
lighter color on top, darker on the bottom (psychology states, that we expect to see shadows, and therefore see a darker colour as 'down')
black & white turn into specs / dissapear in the air, and you have no orinetation
same with Blue; sky / baby blue especially. Some camo shemes as well
Red and yellow are quite visible, and are probably your best bet
Put a large shape on one wing only, then you know which wing is which, and therefore know which is high, whether the plane is comming towards / away...
different schemes top and bottom also help with orintation..

TRy tips and trim with a flourescent colour. i find it best when the wing tips, rudder and stab tips are in a flourescentt colour. You can also use them to put stipes on the wings. White body, flourescent pink wing and stab and fin. Black moveable surfaces and black tips. Looks great with black wheel pants. That is my favorite, I did it on a Mid Star 40. Good luck. Just be sure you get colour contrast.

PS pink is top of wing, white bottom with pink stripes. Same on stab.
