Default Second flight...

If you live in FL, then you know today it was windy and cold. At around 6 my dad got home and we went to this huge lot, but with 2 lakes to the sides. It was very windy and cold, I told my dad that you guys say its impossible to fly in these conditions, but i still went ahead. That thing was CRAZY!! moving eveywhere like a kite, i almost lost it twice, did like 6 loops to get it back, I then figured out that i had to go against the wind, then lower throttle, and let the wind take me and land, it was a fast landing, and sideways too. But the plane is once again intact

Is it luck or blind skill? You be the judge!

Fly it into the wind. You will have more control and land much slower.

Keep landing down wind and you WILL have problems. Do you understand what happens when a wing stalls and what causes it? You were lucky. Use your logic...

Omg this airplane is AWESOME... Today i finally flew in a "normal" environment... A huge polo field with fiiine grass. It was paradise, (after my first 2 flights heh). Anyways I did rolls and loops and corscrews and catarats with that thing, I also did touch and go's everywhere, flyby's, you name it, this thing has so much power i wonder if its close to infinite vertical? Its so much fun, but at the same time, I already feel like I wana fly something FAST Anything else i should try with this ALPHA? (I already got the dual prop). I cant wait till the next time I go!!

Infinate veritical with an ALPHA???? Dude, "kick down", I want some of what your smokin!!!!! Must be some good stuff.

Seriously, try to keep your "stories" to a non-fictional nature here in the forums. Or maybe you can use that "wild" imagination to write a novel about your flying experiences.

hehe DEWalt. but it is a bit harsh...

Everyone exaggerates...

ALPHA will NEVER have unlimited vertical, with that stock Evolution engine.

what's a catarat? If it was a spelling mistake it would have been Cataract, but what's a Cataract in RC terms?

Ps GTac: Hope your next flight goes smoothly.

What is a "catarats" maneuver?

A "Cataract" maneuver is when the plane spins, rolls and loops all at the same time, at a blinding velocity, seemingly out of control.

So fast, in fact, that it appears "blurred"

Hence the name "Cataract"

That's my story and I'm sticking to it...

So let me get it straight, a week ago you flew by yourself for the first time ever, one flight, then a coupld days ago, you were asking how to start the engine and remove a stripped screw, then yesterday you flew in a huge wind and did loops to get it back, and today you are flying 3D and unlimited vertical, all with a trainer.

Hmmmmm, Better roll up your pants, its too late to save your shoes. [X(]

ROFLMAO

Can you say "reality check"!!!!!! Is it just me or is every young kid on RCU doing 3D after their first flight?????? Man these kids are GOOD.

Slight exaggerations are one thing, gross exaggerations make you lose your credibilty. Once tarnished its very hard for others to ever see you shine.

Well you guys also like to make fun of it and make it be "unbelievable". First of all i never said i DID unlimited vertical, i did do loops and rolls and tricks. I said its "CLOSE" to unlimited vertical, A TRAINER SHOULD NOT HAVE UNLIMITED VERTICAL

I had a Sig Kadet once that had nearly unlimited vertical.

Too bad it was vertically down.....

You guys are haters, nothing else.
Thing of it is, you brought on all the ridicule yourself.

You chose to come here and rant and rave, kick and scream, and generally just be obnoxious. Now you can't understand why people make fun of you?

You want sympathy? Look it up. It falls between sh !t and syphilis in the dictionary.

He's just excited.. give him a break.. he's just a kid! Make this hobby inclusive, not exclusive. If a kid is bragging and its obviously not true, just ignore the post. No need to fight him when (I assume) you are much older and supposedly wiser...

If on the other hand you are all a bunch of 14 year old kids, ignore this post.

Where did I put that tennis racket?

It DOES have ignore buttons. But just like your flying, you're too busy talking to learn.
