Probably one of the VMAR ones.
Though not neccesarily the best mind you. You get what you pay for.

a classic trainer for $42
I recently saw an ad here for a VMar trainer ARF, $79.95, but you might want to consider something else cause VMar has a lousy reputation here.
I've seen the Tower 40 trainer ARF on sale for about that same price, usually $100 or more though.

Minn, as a rule I agree with your advice but, a SPAD isnt that cheap until you have enough stuff to make like 4 of them,, Mitty since you havent checked back in, what size engine are you looking to build around, there are some pretty cheap/easy 1/2a kits, the grasshopper is a kit but it rubberbands together for $35 at quantum models...

The Bisson sale is still on, Phoenix ARF's, not kits.
A bit more information might be in order. Like, what are you going to do with it, how long you expect it to last, etc. If you want to buy one and hang it from the ceiling, or shoot at it with shotguns, by all means go with the cheapest that money can buy.
We might make different recommendations if you want to train someone, or learn yourself, or return to flying after an absence. Or if you want the most flights per dollar....
If the object was to simply get the SPAD and balsa contingents trading insults, I think we're past that. We don't fall for trolls any more.
Good luck,

I bought one of the trainers from Bisson with a few others. I'll let you know what it's about. I am going to use this one for Boy Scout merit badge. Anybody want to donate a engien or servos etc...
For $42 it cant be much. But I have the Giles and it is a great quality ARF.

RE: What's the cheapest ARF trainer money can buy??
Hi there folks. Thanks for input.I currently built me a spad,,and its really surable, just way too tealheavy and not a best trainer.I have near zero flying skills with glo models. So i was looking in to buying something that will ONLY wtart me flying, then switch on spad and so on.I got three enginess 40 fx;supertigre .61 ringed(s style) and MSD .68.
Currently i have a buhor that i am trying to master with little success. This buhor spad flying with .61 supertigre .It got 60 in long fuse and 84 in wingspan. If i havent seen my buhor fly i wuld never think it would but one of the guys @ my club flew it like a pro.
So i am looking in to spending as little as possible just to get a hold of the sticks and then switch on spad trainer.
Though about cheapest ARF that won't fall apart.Maybe not so popular models or some models of not famous brands...You know....I am CHEEEEEAP
Thanks for all input again.
