I'm looking for a new hobby and RC helicopters seem to be the deal. They're (from what i've read) both fun, and entertaining with tons of new things to do with them. I'm a devoted hobby type guy with nothing better to do than spend money on things I'd like to try out, so could any of you refer any RTF/ARF helicopters that come with EVERYTHING? Price is no object, but i'd rather not pay 5 grand for my first plane because I know i'll screw it up somehow =) Thanks.
There are probably a total amount of maybe two people in this city that fly planes. So I'll be teaching myself how to do it all. So I don't have the privledge of having someone teach me how to fly. If there are no such things as complete kits, what chopper/accessories would you suggest for a beginner that's going solo?

I'm not a heli guy but love to fly planes. Crashing and fixing over and over gets old in a hurry.
Think about the a flight sim to help with the learning curve. Go to Realflight.com and check it out.
As far as what to buy go to horizonhobbies.com and check it out. Even an ARF heli will need some
setup that you wont be able to do. Mainly in the radio trim and setup. Have fun and good luck.

Thanks a lot. Actually, fine-tuning aerodynamics is my strong point and electronics are no sweat for me. Basic assembly is just fine, but mainly I'm looking for a kit that comes with every thing I need rather than most of it and suggestions of what else I need to buy. Buying things is my main weakness.. I usually buy something I don't need, or it's 1mm too big and I have to dremmel it down or something of that sort.
My actual job is computer-repair for people in my city (wow that's the best job I ever based from my home, at a hefty age of 17 and a half I make around 20 grand a year doing what I love to do in 10 minutes. Currently I have about 180k in the bank and 2k in my pocket, a car I'll keep til I die provided it doesn't die before I do a house and damn near everything I need so I have plenty of money to spend on this hobby, but I'd rather get it right the first time than guesswork.)wow I all of that in captions.. oh well
but thanks anyway daveo, I wish more people would reply so that I could get more ideas =)
as for the simulator, I haven't got much use for them but if it's as cracked up as everyone says, I'll give it a shot.

From: gone,
There are several different "RTF" package deals on beginner level helis.
Check www.centuryheli.com Look at the Hawk Sport. Its had the price reduced recently and its an excellent beginner's model. (rugged, reliable, relatively inexpensive to repair, upgradeable for 3D by just getting the "Torque Tube" kit [which isn't very expensive])
