Default Anyone need help in the San Diego area?

Just here to offer help to any new folks in the San Diego area- I fly at the Weedwackers flying field in Lakeside Ca.

I was just reading the thread about paid flight instructors- I DO NOT CHARGE! I do it because I love it and every day at the flying field is a good day!

So if you have a question or wanna get some advice or lessons gimme a holler-

james

Outstanding... if you are ever up north stop by and come fly with us out in the Central Valley. Always nice to see people helping people and loving it. [8D]

Thank you for the offer sir! My dad and I taught ourselves in the early 80's and though we had fun together I would not recommend going about it the way we did-

Cheers!

For anyone reading, I know Razor personally. The people who know him, know this is typical James. I have witnessed on many different occassions his willingness to help others. Take him up on his offer, you will not be dissappointed... and you will become a better pilot.

He's not a half bad pilot himself, either .

Thanks Mike! I appreciate the kind words- (Hawker is NO SLOUCH on the sticks I must say---)

I know you are a DAD and everything but you should shoot down to the Weedwackers some time and hang out! El Mirage II is in the making- maybe middle May.... you really need to come up and show that death spiral to the world!

Hope all is well,
james

Hey guys!

I lived in SD for 6 years back in the 70's (Imperial Beach and Chula Vista) My son was born there, (He's 26 now) and we keep talking about taking a trip out there sometime (You know, show him his birthplace and all). Hopefully it's going to be next year at about this time. I'll have to make a point of meeting you guys out at your field!

I'd love to meet up anytime you're out here, Minn. San Diego hasn't really changed that much since the 70's. Except for the traffic, housing, commercial buildings, roads, new ballpark, and gas prices, it's exactly the same.

Come on down! Keep in mind though, that even in April the temperatures can dip into the 60's during the day- so buy a heavy jacket

We would love to have you!

It's nice to see a fellow member of Weedwackers on the board. I joined back in December and really like the setup there.

I'm usually at Drones in Proctor Valley but I don't know for how long. They estimate we only have 2 years max left before the houses will be on top of us. It may take 30-40 min to get there from Alpine but Saturday's only have maybe 3-5 people flying.

I would like to go to Weedwackers during the week but I have yet to get a key. I have been flying for about a year and could use some tips doing 3D with my UCD.

I see you live in Ramona. I hope you came out unscathed from the fire like we did. [8D]

Glad you got that stuff yesterday. We FINALLY had a relatively nice day down here in OH.

The_ Weatherman: Small world huh? I am usually there Sunday afternoons, and there are only a few of us which is kinda nice... Lemme know when you are heading out if its on a weekend-

I will help you any way that I can but there are better pilots than me out there if 3D is your thing--- I fly a little bit of everything, whatever fits in my mustang-[X(] poor-man stuff...

I am the one who flies too low, too fast is too far away and is too loud- LOL

Here is a pic of Weedwackers for folks who have not seen it-

Nice Field! I bet that shade tree has grabbed a few birds in its day.
