I have had alot of Simulator training as I started with a Avistar 40 gasser a couple of years ago then got side tracked.( was just ready to solo)... Anyway my question??? Take the advise from DBCherry.I was at a fly-in a couple weeks ago and somebody turned on a transmitter for some unknown reason, the guy that lost his plane said he has never had a problem with this plane, until now.All because some person turned on his tx that was on the same frequency.

I have one of those hobbico something-or-the-others that I wanted to teach my friend to fly with. But nothing can be done with the original controllers. What I did was put in my own controller and used two of my own txs to teach him. It's not the dreamiest of set ups but it worked just fine. He has since soloed.
Although, I recommend that someone learns on something with a little more power. The hobbico cub-like plane was anemic at best
