Default Hangar 9 Arrow

I'm looking for a good trainer that won't kill my wallet, and the best looking one I've found so far is http://horizon.hobbyshopnow.com/prod...p?prod=HAN2550

I was also looking at the Xtra Easy 2, which seemed good, except for it's more expensive and the Arrow is Semi-Symmetrical.

What are your opinions on this?

If you have a good instructor, the Arrow will do you just fine. If he is just 'so-so', I'd opt for a flat-bottomed job.

I've just test flown the Alpha 60 and LOVE it......it seems all of H9 trainers are above average.

Sweet plane, mine is fully aerobatic. I have an Alpha too. Same good quality, gentle trainer.

I've now flown two different Arrows (total of about 10 decent length flights).

They are good flying planes, but they don't slow down as well as the Alpha or many of the other trainers out there.

This means you have less time between having to turn, so you have to think faster, and get back to level flight after your turn faster, or you're never going to stop turning (a bad thing). If you have a good instructor, this won't be a big deal, but you might find it a bit more frustrating at first. Just hang in there, once you get it, you'll be fine. Both students who have this plane went through this, but were mostly over it by about the 3rd-4th flight. But it can still get away from you faster than some of the other trainers out there.
