Default evoloution trainer power system upgrades

Today I went to the lhs and bought a 2 1/4 inch spinner and an apc 11 by 5 prop. I just put it on my h9 arrow. I was wondering if any one has any experiance with this combo. I have only gotten three flights on it and I have a feeling I am setting myself up for disaster.(This new prop has about an inch less ground clearance than the included 3 blade)I was also thinking about removing the flywheel thats on the engine. If anyone has any suggestions on this setup please feel welcome to reply!

Default RE: evoloution trainer power system upgrades

I started out with the evo 46 on my LT 40 last fall with the 3 blade trainer prop. AFter I got comfortable I tried out different props.

I wouldn't say you are in for a disaster, but that prop will make a HUGE difference! It will be like you have a new engine. In a way it is nicer because you can take off much quicker. If it is too fast for you just throttle it down.

I personally have never removed the flywheel. I would suggest just using that prop you mentioned first and see how you like it. The fly wheel helps keep the momentum of the prop and may help keep the engine from dying at low throttle.

Good Luck!
