Howdy everyone. I have a Seagull P-51 that I bought as part of package deal from a private seller. It has a 60 in. span and I was wondering if this is a good plane?. I'm new to this sport and before I spend any money on this aircraft I'm trying to find out if this kit is worth any time and effort. It looks like a well built kit (it is a ARF) but unsure of the quality of flight characteristics. I received no manual for this craft and need to find out if anyone knows what the CG point is and if anyone has one of these or has heard or seen one of these fly? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks........ Chase

Planes are like most things... whether or not they're good depends on what you want to do with them. If you're a beginner, the Mustang will be a good plane to save for later.
I'm not familliar with Seagull, but the P-51 design (if followed well in the model) is a good one in terms of producing a plane with some aerobatic capabilities, a good appearance, and reasonable controllability for an experienced pilot.
Have you graduated from first trainers and gained some proficiency on a low-wing sport plane yet?

Thanks Al-
The plane I trained on is a Quick Fly 60 low wing pattern trainer, the other part of the package deal I got. The P-51 is definetly for future use and am trying to gather info on it. I also have purchased a RCM 40 trainer and am having fun with that.
