Hello, all... Well I am getting back into this hobby from the first time I tried it about 5 years ago. This time I am doing it right and getting someone to instuct me on my flying experiences. Anyways, my local Hobby store supplies the Hangar 9 Solo trainers. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these planes. I am looking for something that I can get some good experience with and maybe a few loops and rolls in with. The other option that I am considering is the Hobbico trainers but would much rather give the business to the local store. Anyways, I would like any feed back about the highs and lows of the Hangar 9 Solo and maybe the hobbico planes as well.
Thanks

Hi Dave, The H9 trainers are good planes. I have been an instructor for about 4 years now and I found that as long as a trainer has a decent engine on it I can loop, roll and fly inverted on all of them. I have even been able to doa decent knife edge with 1 trainer. Buy the H9 trainer with a good engine such as OS or Thunder Tiger in 46 size. Then get together with an instructor at an RC club before you buy the radio. Most clubs have buddy boxes for instructor use but the brand of radio has to match. Its no point in buying a JR radio if the club has Futaba buddy boxes. Get at least a 4 channel radio and a 6 if you can afford it. All of the standard radios have good range so that isn't an issue. Have fun, Fast[:
