There are bunches to choose from. My second is a Sig four star 40. I am happy with it. I also have a Seagull Skywalker which is much more stable and easier to fly than the four star, but not aerobatic.
I have heard good things about the Carl Goldberg Tiger II. It's made to easily convert from trike to a tail dragger.

Look at World Models Rambler 30, Goldberg Tiger II and also possibly a Spacewalker. All 3 fly very well, are aerobatic, land at trainer speeds and are quite stable. The Tiger II is a tri gear, but can easily be converted to a taildragger.
FWIW, I have personally found the quality of the World Models to be extremely good throughout and a very good value for the money.

I have a copy of them on my PC at home (I am on the road).
I think AMA should adopt something like this.
We will have people screaming about invasion of human rights, but I bet our insurance goes down!

From: gone,
LOL... I just SUGGESTED people LOOK at the solo requirements that one club has... an there was a barrage of complaints.
But knowing the requirements of what the guy has had to accomplish is a minimum amount of knowledge for making an intelligent suggestion about his second airplane.

My old club in Indiana has a leveling system and from the person's level, you know there demonstrated skill. I have been to clubs where people have landed the plane once and said they soloed. I think it is crazy.

You can't be a Rambler, 30 or 40 size and the Tiger 2 is just as good. They all will fly fast if you can handle it, and then slow down to walking speed to calm your nerves or land!.

My second plane was a Galaxy models Magician and lasted ages. Easy to fly and resonably aerobatic. I don't know if they still sell them (I think they do). If not, you can get them from pegasus models.
The Chriss Foss kits are good. A Wot 4 is a definate good second model (although it doesn't look much it flies great). The Acro Wot is good too.
