I have a O.S .46 FXI and am not really sure what the difference is between it and the standard .46 fx. O.S don't even show it on the web site. The reason I ask is if I ever need replacement parts can I use the standard .46 replacement parts? The only difference I can see is that the head seems to be a little different shape and the remote valve housing is plastic.

I believe it is the same as the O.S. .46 fx but was packaged up with the Hobbico NexStar Select. I don't think there is any difference.

This is the same exact engine as the popular O.S. .46 FX, but it has been updated by O.S. to include the Newer Style Remote Carb Needle Housing found on the newest line of O.S. engines. The new housing is now removable without removong the engine aluminum backplate. On the older .46 FX, the backplate would often crack with mild to moderate engine impact. Problem solved.
