Default Prop Q

Hey guys,

For my RV-4 i wanna put a 3 blade prop onto it to make it look sa-weet, so for a 2 blade i would use a 11X6 but ill put a 3 blade 10X7 on it. My question is since ill be putting a new .46FX onto it, it says to use a 10X6 2 blade to break it in... what exatly is the point of this?

That's so you don't overload the engine during the critical break-in stage.

You give it a chance to run with a prop that is relatively easy for the engine to spin.

I would stick with the recommended 10 x 6 for break in. Just get a cheap wooden one and run a few tankfulls of fuel through it, then switch to whatever you want.
