Where do you all think is a good place to shop online? Keep in mind that I am looking for my first plane.

your best money would be spent locally buying used from a club member who is ready to sell his trainer, maybe a new 6 channel radio would be a good buy from tower..Rog

Online:

Towerhobbies and watch for the coupons they have on their site, I am pretty happy with them, club membership paid its price multiple times with the free s/h and frebbies and I am happy with their customer service.

Lots of other online retailers should learn from Tower.

Buy a used trainer from someone, since it will most likely get banged up anyway. You can get a cheap RTF from someone in the RCU marketplace and save some bucks.

The Tower Hobbies trainers (40 & 60 sizes) are guarenteed, as long as you learn to fly with a certified instructor. If $$$ is an issue, try to get a used one from someone at the LFF.

I shopped online for my first one,i checked some local shops but they wanted list on everything and put tax on top of that,i got most everything from a place in florida, free shipping and plane/accessories was a lot cheaper,if you have something that is warranteed it doesn't matter who you buy it from, warrantee is a factory thing. However,i have found a shop in dallas that is realistic in prices and i don't have to wait 3 days and the good thing is i can look at what i'm buying, tax still sux's tho.
