Default Free beat-up airframes!

I am doing some spring-cleaning and have a few airframes (No engine, servos etc.) that are beat up but just nice enough to NOT throw away! I tried to give away a couple awhile back but I do not want to mess with shipping...

1. H9 Cap-232, it is beat down but could be fixed up relatively easily-

2. Global P-47, horrible covering material (Global [:@]) fixed gear, pull-pull rudder setup...

3. GP Spitfire, the cowling is toasted (Tower still had them listed awhile back-) has mechanical retracts- one gear leg needs fixing-

These are "project" airplanes- they would take some work but I DO NOT want to throw them away... Who knows if someone comes and takes these off my hands I may just throw in an engine! (That runs!)

Sorry if this is in the wrong section MODS. we need a Bargain-Bin Forum for folks offering free stuff!

I am in the San Diego area-

Sure you won't consider shipping that Cap? I'd pay the shipping of course, and a reasonable cost for the packaging.

I could have sworn you posted this in the Clubhouse, and I said I was interested in one thing or another, but you never replied. [:'(]

Yes I did (as I mentioned in the prev. post) but I can't say as I remember your particular scenario... I had many replies but most were wanting shipping info. (not on the table-)

I was hoping that someone would come take them all home- since that is the IDEA-

I can't believe I am trying to give stuff away, and you are insulting me with that stupid ***** green smileys here...

WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?

That's exactly what he wants!

I don't expect him to except my offer, becasue it IS pain in the butt to pack stuff up for shipping. (I didn't offer to pay for the hassle, did I?) But it never hurts to ask.

Sounds like you offered more than enough,if i had something i wanted to get rid of and had all his sympathy for the planes,i would gladly pack them up to give them a new lease on life.Sometimes you just can't please some people.

What's your point? Sometimes you just can't please people? What? The guy is giving stuff away. There is no way anyone should be upset at anything this guy has said. He clearly states that the planes are available for pick up at his home and that he doesn't want to be bothered with shipping. Why do people whine when they find out that someone meant what they said?

The point was made very clearly, look at his original post and below #3, "These are "project" airplanes- they would take some work but I DO NOT want to throw them away... Who knows if someone comes and takes these off my hands I may just throw in an engine! (That runs!) " [X(] ,your right about the coming by part but when somebody offers to pay for shipping AND pay for the hassle i wouldn't call that a freebee, all he has to do is put them in a box, call UPS or whoever and send them out IN ONE BIG BOX,they arn't perfect so if they get scratched what difference does it make and on another note, who's upset i didn't bash the guy if your refering to me,whining ?,what's YOUR point ?.

Wow- Dunno why I bother- [X(]

One guy even PM'ed me to "F off", whatever that means...

5-Spot: "Sometimes you just can't please some people"? I am not looking to be pleased, I am looking to GIVE STUFF AWAY- back away from the keyboard and think for a second...

Let's try this one last time, because I do not have time for all this- (Or I would fix the airplanes-)

Pickup only, I am a combination of busy and lazy- no shipping (Sorry DB), no delivery, and no trash-talk---

Giving away 3 airframes and an engine for "your hassle" of coming to get the stuff seems reasonable---

I hope you understand i wasn't bashing you but trying to get you and anybody together so you could give the planes a good home. What you have to understand here is that most people live away from you, sometimes a long way,i could buy a lot of planes if you count the $$$ it would cost me to fly roundtrip to ca along with a lot of others,is it "I am a combination of busy and lazy" to put them in a box, call ups and have them come to your house and do a pick-up ?.If you cant do that then throw them in a trash can and get rid of them or build a bonfire in your back yard, roll some good stuff and get on with something else.
Peace Brother

It sounds to me like you have rolled one too many. I think the bong resin has clouded your judgement.

Hey Razor, I live in Argentina... I am interested in the planes... do you rekon you could catch the overnight flight here and drop off the planes and engine. I would even be willing to buy you breakfast when you arrive. What... you wont do it!!! I cant believe that.. I thought you wanted to give the planes away!!!

Give me a break!

Thanks for your offer Razor, I am sure there are plenty of RC'ers in your area who would be happy to take the planes off your hands.

Gringo,

Razor-RCU,
I can appreciate not wanting the hassle, and thank you for your generosity in giving away the planes!
