On my FW-190. Seemed to handle fine on the ground, and I had two other guys backing me up on the trims, plus everybody turned out to watch. No pressure there, eh? Tracks very nice and straight down the runway, but as soon as it lifted off it headed right twoards the trees. Came back fine, heart restarted, and gained altitude and trimmed 'er out. Flew a bit, did some slow stuff and stalls, then in for fairly uneventfull landing. Had MAJOR butterflies in my stomach when taxing out, but as soon as I hit the throttle and started concentrating on flying, all gone. Came back after it was on ground but not as bad. Too bad that was the only landing I made under power with it all day... all the rest were deadsticks (new engine, not tuned quite right yet).
Even got the gear up on the second flight..... it really looked good, love that 4 stroke sound.

Oh Yeah, and I forgot to mention..... after that high, I stalled my Spacewalker on final and flew into the grass, tearing off the landing gear, then ran the engine lean on the Focke Wolfe and lost compression, and stepped on the stab while performing above mentioned lean run. <sigh>

Sounds like the first flight was the best event of the day.
Bummer on the rest of the stuff. [:@][:@]
The plane looks great. I am still trying to get the $$$ together to get my first plane in the air. Gotta get all the little stuff, like fuel, fuel filter, glow starter, etc.....
