Go to a club close to your home and get someone with experience to teach you. Hang around the bigginers forum and read as much as you can. Get a flight simulator and practice.
Good luck
And good to have you back in the US and in the hobby

Tony ... if you have been flying before then forget the trainer, why not go for something like a World Models Rambler 45. If you do not mind a 40 sized ship ... she flies gentle enough to learn from especially if you prop it with an APC 12.25 x 3.75. Landings are so nice.

Go up to the "Settings" button then select the "Forum Setting" tab, then scroll down to "Signature" and type in what you want. Apply it and Bingo!

Looks like a good combo. It's a good idea to get a trainer because even if your brain remembers how to fly, your thumbs don't. And even after you get good and get a second plane, the trainer is fun to take out to the field just to putter around with. Besides, you'll need something to teach your kids on, won't you?
