Default Types of Engines

I myself is actually a novice. I have flown a few times. But I am actually an pilot and an A&P in training. But what are the types of R/C engines there are for R/C aircrafts. All that I know of is Piston and Jet. Im just wandering is if there are Jets with Turbofans, Turbo Props. I can prablly build this stuff but it will take forever and have Plenty of Jet A w/ Prist.

How about CO2 and compressed air? I think I recall an RC model being flown with a steam engine.

I already have my FCC General Radiotelephone operators license with radar endorsment which is a plus when I get out to the work force!

Anyways best of luck man I am kind of a noob when it comes to this RC stuff so !

I only have like 2 months under my belt working with Cessna 02b. One thing i do not get is that for the boom fuel tank the pieces of wood that are 2"X4" are like around $40 a pop. And it is maple when you can go to lows and buy several pieces that are 2x4 and still get is alot cheaper.

i have built and flown rubber band aircrafts. I used that film on my last one. With the torque of the prop it rippes the plane into pieces really fast. I couldent help but laugh.

Rotary engines, as in Wankel engines. Os sells one. Radial engines as well. There is even some reproduction limited run rotarys as in LeRhone, Gnome as well.

I had links to two different turbofan jet engines but they both are no longer valid. I'm currently working on a 1/8 scale S-3B Viking and would like to put two micro turbofans on it. If any one knows of any links or contact info to someone who is building there own I would appreciate the info.
