Default Can I switch from PCM to PPM??

I have a Futaba FP-T6NPK PCM radio and I would like to use it on the FMS simulator with XP Pro as the operating system but I need an interface cable. I was told that the radio has to operate in PPM mode for it to function properly with the sim. I do not know how this is done or if it is even possible on this radio. If you can help me out it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks for your time.

I've checked the manual on Futaba's web site and it makes no mention of being able to switch from PCM to PPM like the new models do.

The Futaba 6NPK is one of the older systems. It is fixed to PCM transmission, and cannot be changed to PPM. It uses Futaba's PCM512 coding, so you would not be able to use it with one of Futaba's modern PCM receivers. PCM512 receivers are no longer maide.

Bax put that one to bed. He is right, those radios are fixed PCM or PPM. I also think he is right. I haven't seen the old 512 recievers in a coons age. You need to get a different transmitter. You can look on E-Bay and here for a basic 4 channel FM unit cheap. You can pick up transmitters for around 30$. Good luck.
