And I feel like I am doing pretty good. I am taking off and landing the plane pretty good. Last night was the first time for me to actually land the plane (Sig LT-40) but I did it. I actually took off, did a couple laps, and landed it without any hlep from my instructor. It was pretty exciting.
I can't wait to go solo, I mean it still get's me scared but am looking forward to it. I am already thinking of what plane I will be getting for my second plane and so far I am heading to the Sig 4* 40. However, I will not be putting on the graphics that come with the 4*. I think they are pretty dull. I'll have to spruce it up with some others that I hope I will be able to get from my hobby store.

Hi Cublover,
I have pretty much felt that being that I was on a buddy box it does not really count as going solo. When you are off the buddy box and totally on your own is when I have thought you can consider yourself as having done a solo flight.
I will say though even though I was on the buddy box just knowing that I was under total control for the short flight that i did it was awesome.
Is that a Sig 4* you have there? Damn that plane is kickin looking. I have to say that is one sharp looking plane!!!

I never learnt on a buddy box - I just had a guy next to me, ready to grab the radio if thing were looking dire - but as cublover said, if you got around by yourself, bits of interlinking wire aside, that's damn close to a solo.
If you're looking for an ARF second plane, you might like to look at the World Models Sky Raider Mach II - it's a low wing plane at an excellent price, and WM has a great reputation for build quality.
And I gotta agree - damn b]cublover[/b], that's a nice looking aircraft.
