Default First 4 Stroke

I am finishing up my SIG Kavalier and wanted to fit it with a four stroke. It asks for about a .40 size 2 stroke but I know that allot of people have used .46 size 2 strokes. I would be happier with the extra power and wanted feedback on a 4 stroke that would be suitable.

A few people at my club have saito's and will not recommend them due to various quality issues. What would be about the biggest 4 stroke I could use?

I would reccomend this YS .63s http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXGTG7&P=ML if you arent worried about the price. The guys at our field were just talkin about Saitos being good. If you go with a saito I would get the Saito .72 if you want that much power.

Yep. YS 63, OS 70 Surpass, Saito 72 (in that order in my opinion).

Yup I agree with these guys and Magnums are good too, Actually the Magnum 70 is on sale for $149 right now too http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/210945.asp I have a Magnum 91 and it's a great engine.

A O.S FS 52 surpass or a Saito FA 56 will
also work fine on that plane. The sig kavalier is not
a very heavy plane compared to similar planes
of different brands.

I would recommend against the YS. they are great engines, but also a little tougher to set up. go with a reliable, cheap 4 stroke for the first go around.

I have a bunch of Saito's. Never had any problems with any of them. I would reccomend a 56 or a 72. The 72 is if you want a bit of excess power. The 56 would fly it fine. I also advise against the YS. They are a great engine. But can be a bit difficult to set up. Once set they are fine. I do not know about Magnums, never had one. I would also say the OS would be fine. But I still say that Saito is the best first 4 stroker you can get. Good luck with whichever one you end up with.
