So VA wasn't the only place with beautifull weather, eh? What made it really nice was the humidity was lower than it has been, and it was just a touch cooler. A bit cloudy in the AM and teh wind was all over the place, but that just makes it interesting.....

We had two great days in a row! A bit sticky in the humidity department, but I got in about 12 hours at the field over the weekend.
I flew my 4*, my brother's Aeromaster Bipe, two new members' trainers for a few buddy box flights, launched someone's Zagi, tuned a couple engines, and stood by for another guys first flight with his Sportster, just in case. All in all a great couple of days.

I'd kill for a decent day. Wind and rain, (winter here right now) has prevented me from flying for the past 5 weekends. Almost solo too, which makes it even more frustrating.

Yesterday, I was caught in the worst rain I've ever seen at my field. I was a little worried about my TX sice it was soaked but it did fine today. Today was windy but fun.

It was breezy here in H town too. Not too bad though...slightly across the runway.
Man ALIVE! Humidity here lately has been typically H town in the summer. H is for HOT! You don't need a spotter here...you need someone to wipe sweat out of your eyes.
We LOVE the wind around here...

I got up early Saturday, packed up the plane, equipment, and my eldest son, and got to the field by 8:30. I sort of expected to be the one to unlock the gate, but a half dozen guys beat me there.
I got my first three post-solo flights in that morning. I was fairly nervous on the first one. A couple of the guys there knew I had just soloed so I knew they were watching me on my pre-flight preparations. I did have to do a u-turn back to the flight line to adjust the tailwheel (I'm going to have to file a flat spot for the set screw), but everything went well.
The rest of the family showed up during the second flight, and on the third I started to get creative: Immelman's, one split-s, just exploring the capabilities of the LT-40. I even let out a chuckle at one point and the guy in the next flight box said, "Starting to have some fun with it? Just keep it high." I was having a little too much fun with it, there wasn't much fuel left in it when I landed. That switch to a 10-oz. tank already paid off.
By the time I left at 10 there were probably 15 guys there.

euclid,
Windy out here to, only we had the snow with it. I can fly any day so the weather settling so should be able to fly Wed or Thur.
Winter sucks.
Cheers,

It was a great couple of days here with low humidity as well. Only got out on Sunday because Saturday was the "honey do" list day. Yardwork, new lights on the garage, ...well you know the drill. Yesterday though, light winds down the runway. Got to the field around 12n and maidened my Tower Voyager. Just a kick around plane that I wanted to have to replace my trainer. Flew it for one flight then started having problems with throttle response. Found the carb was very loose and had already lost one of the carb screws. New engine, so Tower agreed to send a couple of replacement screws. (Great people to deal with.) After the carb problem, I got out my new Something Extra kit that I just finished building. Only had 2 flights on it from last weekend. What a great afternoon I had. The plane is a blast to fly and only a few problems that I was able to fix. Got 4 flights in and can't wait till next time.
