Right on www.jperkinsdistribution.co.uk they have a ARTF Seagull P51 Mustang (deluxe series) now it says it suits a SC46-SC61 2-stroke engine .......
BUT i have a brand new Robbe MDS61 engine its about 4-5 yrs old but spanking never used .........will it fit in this model ? are they saying only an SC will fit or will my MDS fit cos its quite a large engine with quite a large exhaust the SC exhaust looks a lot smaller
Pic attached same engine but without the bit on the back (dont know what that is)
i dont want to buy it to find out it wont fit
id really appreciate youre input on this ..............

So is yours the last engine pic. I think that is a rear exhaust system coming out the back. Call the company and ask them if it will fit.

I dont think the exhaust size really matters because you will just cut out a place in the cowl for it to stick out, Or you could run it without cowl.

yep my exhaust is on the side here is my engine (see pics)
i dont want to run it without a cowl to be honest i think it woul ruin the look of the plane

Wax you have a slight problem, the Mustang nose is raked and kinda steep at the bottom. Your best option is (if the ARF does not have the engine mount holes drilled and prepared on the firewall) to mount the engine at 135 degrees or 45 degrees downwards. The your pipe will be exiting at the bottom inline with the fuse. Try a Pitts style muffler, I doubt it will fit but then it will allow you to exit exhaust below but mount the engine on its side.
