Assuming you don't have a transmitter if you want to fly glo-engine I'd go with a Horizon Hobby's Alpha 40 or Arrow RTF at around $300. A gallon of fuel and a glo igniter and you are flying. That's about as cheap as you can get on a glo engine plane. The transmitter can be used to fly other planes.
There are some RTF electrics on the market for around $150 like a Parkzone J3 Cub that comes with simple transmitter and charger. It flies pretty good. There are some cheaper electrics RTF's for around $80 but they don't fly very well.
If you get a slow stick you are still going to need a transmitter and charger.

I'm going to suggest that if you can't afford more than about $200.... your money would be best spent (1) visiting the local clubs and looking for a free trial, and (2) on a computer flight simulator with controller.
Good luck,

Another alternative would be to find something in here RTF. Some people either move up or move out. they find out that this hobby isnt what they expected or want something a little more aerobatic and sell their set ups in the market place. If you are not really into building at least fot your first one thats a real good place to get a trainner cheap and ready to fly.
