This must be a nearly impossible plane to build, Ive only seen them in 1000+ dollar range and not made by well known kit manufacturers. Also wondering if anybody thinks its possible to scratch build one. I would only want it as a ducted fan

You might want to post this in either the 'war bird', 'scale' or 'scratchbuilding' forums, and you might get a better responce..
Should be no problem to scratch build one, provided you can either draw up your own plans, or scale down a set form a known plan set. Typically, the ones you'll find are intended as true scale, and are desined for ducted fans or actual turbines. With that, you'll get fiberglass fuses, foam wings, and all the other 'expencive' goodies..
I'll assume you're looknig for somethign that'll be powered by electric fan units, not these monster 0.90 Byron or BVM DF units..
The other optrion is to 'kit bash' an exsisting kit to look like the 'shark', and/or inquire to the better known kit providers. They can do wonders with the new 'molded foam' proscess!
