Snaproll,
I think you need 8 channels to set up the spoilerons, flaps and crow functions.
Try the Futaba website under FAQ.
Good luck.

Can't fully utilize the 4 servo wing on the Futaba 7CA. Nor can you do two servo elevator. Nor does it do CROW. You need a 9C for that. I don't even think the Eclipse 7 can really fully exploit what the ultra stick can do.

Futaba 9C, Multiplex Evo 9, Airtronics stylus would handle this nicely.

Here is a discussion on computer radios that may help explain. Goes into 4 servo wings about half way through.

why would he want two servos on the elevator?
one is really enough (in the tail with a short 4-40 pushrod).

I have it set up with a 9 cap but only use 7 channels.
Used 6 p-mixes to get the features.

how much mixes can you have with a 7 ca?

pat

Sorry for any confusion I caused with my quick post.

Was not suggesting that he needed twin elevator servos. I was ponting out that that twin elevator servos, ailevators that follow the ailerons like elevons on a wing, was something the 7C does not handle well. These are sometimes called for on very aerobatic, pattern or 3D planes.

I don't believe dual elevators are called for on the .40 ultrastick.

You should be able to do the 4 servo wing on a US. I am flying my US60 with a 6XAS and it will do crow. I have the ailerons on channel 1 & 6 and the flaps on a Y on the gear channel 5. I use a mix to add some down elevator with the flaps and the airbrake mix pops the ailerons up and adds a little more down elevator. To deploy crow I have to flip the gear switch to drop the flpas and flip the airbrake switch. The only thing I can't do is mix the flaps to the ailerons to create full span ailerons because of only 6 channels. I might be wrong but it seems I only need one more channel to do it. I do plan to buy a 9C for this and other models.

You are absolutely right, however as you noted, you are not flying it as a 4 servo wing, you are flying it as a 3 servo wing. With the flaps on the same channel, they can not follow the ailerons to crate full wing ailerons. THAT is what we mean by a full 4 servo wing. When the two flap servos can be independently set, trimmed and can work together or separately.

You have achieved crow but it takes two steps to do it. When we talk about a radio doing crow, it is as a single mix, usually on a switch, slider or the throttle stick.

Yea I just made do with what I had. My new 9C will fix that. I just wanted to give an example of another way to set it up using just a simple 6 channel radio.
