Default F-27 died...

Well, my dad killed my F-27 upon taking the controller out of my hand and giving it down elevator from about 150ft up at full throttle.I wish i had my digital cam here so i could post pics..To much missing/ mangled foam to fix it this time. One to many crashes..Idk what he was thinking..I told him id teach him to fly sumtime(not that day cuz it was almost dark, and i wanted to get him on the sim for awhile first anyway), and being the big macho guy he is he thinks "if he can do it, surely i can"..He didnt even ask me the controls.[:@] I did have a few nasty things to say but seeing as im 16 and under his roof i kept it short..So yea he offered to buy me a new fuse..But i was actually wondering if there was any other plane the electronics could fit in?? There are a few neat park flyers at my hobbie shop but im busy and wont be able to make it out there for awhile, so i thought id ask you guys..Im new to all this stuff and didnt know if i could use the speed control/receiver and battery..Or if i need to buy new ones..I already know i can use the radio and micro servos in most applications..But i just wanted opinions..thanks

It might not be totally out of order to remind your dad that you may be the one picking out his nursing home!

lol...No its cool man. But i also have to remember that my dad is a simple guy, he really doesnt understand how complicated this stuff is..He just assumes its a throw around thing like his old r/c cars..Welp, he sure figured that out to be wrong..heh.He said he was really sorry, that didnt really help..But after the mom yelled at him i had a few laughes..Thank god it was just foam..If it was sumthing i had spent time building id probly go ahead and start lookin for that nursing home... Any suggestions on a new plane for my guts though? thanks

Vicious, you can have the "old man" buy you a replacement foam, tail etc. Use you existing F-27 electronics. Cost him about
$65. Horizon Hobby should have spare parts. BTW, my F-27 zings and kicks major ***!!!!

Swags, don't I know that one all too well!!!! I remember I had a bunch of family members watch me fly a few models. I brought out a sailplane saying how great it flies blah blah blah....Upon launch, a gust of wind smacked it. It rolled right and cartwheeled along terra firma thus busting up the wing. Costs me $50 for a replacement from Dymond and the walk of shame to pick up the pieces.....

Id sorta like to try sumthing new though..Though the only thing i need is a new fuse, the fins an evrything are good...Its just like the nose= totaled and it also broke in half and into many small pieces..Despite all the 3m tape i had on it......But any suggestions in a cool plane i could drop this stuff in just to try..The F-27 was my first plane so im kinda wanting to learn how to use landing gear and land and such..But im goin to get my F-27 back in the air sumtime to. Also thanks for the link, yall have been very helpful.

SYMPATHY PURCHASE!!! I think those are the best kind. The F-27 is kind of like a flying wing right? almost I mean, similar shape? Have you checked out Megatech's Megastealth II? They say it can go 60mph+, but also slower (if your dad wants to try, rather if you want to let him try lol). It looks pretty cool and seems a similar shape to what you've been flying with the stryker. Just throwin ideas out on somethin I saw, good luck.

Megastealth II on Megatech's web site ---> http://www.megatech.com/product_deta...ft.php?ID=9901
