Well here it is and it has been like 3 or 4 weeks since I ws last able to go flying. I just started a new job which has me working mad overtime and when the day and time comes to go flying I have been too beat to go. Being that I am still a beginner Tuesday nights are the beginner nights however I may see if I can start to go on a weekend or some other time just so that I could get some flying time in.
Guess I just wanted to pout and wine because I just have not had the time to go out. Well the bad thing is that the time is limited to go flying, but the money is there for when I want to up to my second plane!!! I guess it is a is the glass half empty or half full. Trust me I love the extra cash but I do miss my flying.

I totally agree. I guess I am just venting because I don't have as much spare time as I used to with my old job. But at the same time when check thirty rolls around I really like my new job.

Yes.. Money coming in sure makes life a little better:-).. You just
have to plan your spare time.. And hopefully mother nature will
not change your plans by making you wait even longer....

Totally understand about needing to work, but you gotta pay for those planes. I'm and instructor at my field and I will sometimes adjust my schedule to help a student. You might try calling the the instructors at your field and explain your situation. You never know, one may make an appointment with you at a time when you can go. At the very least, all they can say is no.

I'm having the same exact problem! I recently started a new job that has had me working on the days when everyone meets at the field (we have a small field). Thankfully though I finally have sat off so I'll get to go then. But like the others said I'd much rather miss a few days at the field and have money to invest into airplanes then to fly and be broke.

I havn't been flying as much as i want but we decided wednesday nights isn't the best time to fly this time of year, the way the field is laid out the sun is in your eyes unless you try flying in a smaller area and the temps are just too hot around here but saturday mornings are great,i'll be out there first thing in the morning.

I wish I could say that Jeep. However, with a 2 1/2 year old and car payments and mortgage and a wife whom likes to shop now and then. It is not my choice to make. The choice was made long ago when I said "I Do" at the alter.

Yeah that's how our club does it.. But they said they needed more
trainers and said I should do it.. I said I'm still too green.. Next
club meeting they give me a thunder tiger trainer and the radios..
I'm not sure I like this............ Good thing it's too HOT here, and
most of the people are old timers:-)

Ron,
I don't think being pushed into becoming an instructor is a good idea. They're pressuring you, but you know your capabilities. Starting with something like instructing too soon won't do the new guys much good, and it will burn you out. You won't want to go to the field anymore because of obligations.

Steve I feel your pain, I too have been struggling for the past six weeks to get out there and bore some holes in the sky with my instructor but with work and family commitments it is very hard to do at this time. How I long for retirement!!! Anyway hang in there and we will get through this. Good Luck!!!
