Well, It looks like I just bought a JR 8103 but in the process its a Heli Model and I wanted to use it for Airplanes. Is there any problems with that or will it work ok? I was not paying attention when I was looking at it and well. If the knobs and switches and what not are not right is there a way tHat i can convert it to a airplane model? Welll anyways Thanks all,
Cole

Shouldn't be any problems. Same number of knobs and switches. Just a couple reversed on the transmitter. If you haven't used an 8103 before, you won't know the difference. Just get used to where they are located.

The only real thing different other than knob location is the throttle has no ratcheting feel to it, will move smooth with no clicking, Some people like it better for thier planes will be the same otherwise.

When I bought my JR X-378 it came on the heli button configuration. Something about only version being imported into New Zealand.
Anyway, I haven't had any probs with it, but then I haven't used more than 4 channels on it yet.
And my instructor loves my throttle!

What is the diference between the versions of the 8103? I have the 8103 and the manual has instructions to set up all three types of model. Helicopter, Aircraft and glider.
Surely JR does not produce four versions. seperate versions for different types of model and a fourth one that covers them all.

The labling on the switchs is defferent on the heli. The landing switch is in a different position on the heli. If you bought it a LHS why not return it for the Aero' or trade. Dennis
