Default Thing 1 loves it!

Finally after not flying for over a week (weather, wind and rain), I got to maiden the Twist and fly my Arrow after the repair.
Weird thing happened on the Arrow. Was up on the 2nd flight and was up for about 5 minutes when engine quit. Now I know it had
a full tank of fuel! I softly landed it in high grass. Upon inspection, I noticed the fuel pickup line was off the needle valve nipple!!!
Geesh, what a nipple head!!!! No damage and I flew it again. Then, came the Twist! Never tried a tail dragger but it took off at
just about 60 to 70 degrees up. I had to give it about 4 clicks of down. I have the low rates on this plane set at 3/4 inch servo travel.
So, ailerons were okay (also had about 25% of expo on the ailerons). Uh, the Twist flies much more differently than the Arrow! And,
the plane is also faster even though it has .46 engine. All I did with the plane was a few loops. I want to get used to it before I try other stuff. Had 3 flights with it. Thing 1 turned out to be a good pilot!!! Below are the pics...

Hey Dave that is one heck of a flying field you have ther, When I seen Thing one my first question was "Where's MEME" You know Dave The more posts I see from you the more I'm starting to think you may have to dust off some of that electric stuff you have. I still remember when you where new on the other forum and when Solonho first started out now both you guys are flying everything you can get your hands on. It's been a few years and I still can't get enough flying in.... What an addiction.

Dave,

Change the prop to a 12.25x3.75 and the twist will really love you for it. Lots of vertical climb and can really slow down for a nice landing.

That prop will slow it down some but gobs of pull with a 46 when you need/want it

BTW...I have the tazmaniain devil (Taz) flying mine and at my daughters suggestion took lime green paint and a small brush and made streaks on the inside of the canopy from over his head on back to the edge of the canopy. Sorta looks like he vomited all over the inside... I know sick but actually it gfets a few laughs. The pic below does not show it but I will post another when I get home tonight

Bubba, make sure you post that pic at least 4 ot 5 hours after dinner!!!!! LOL!!!!!
Dauntae, yep, been flying all kinds of stuff. I still have that scooter too. And it still flies on direct drive!!!
I also fly sailplanes with brushless motors (uh, awfully stinkin quick!!!) and some warbirds etc. The only thing
I don't fly yet is helis. However, I can't understand why someone would just completely switch over to all electric. First thing I
noticed about glow is the power is just awesome! Plus, how can you beat the sound of like a Piper or Cessna or even a nice bi-plane with
a throaty engine like a Saito 4 banger? They say the oil gets all over...yeah, when you have your exhaust blowing directly over
your wing. I'm just not getting someone who would spend over $400 on electric power that still don't have the b*lls of a OS .46
just to power a 5 pound plane. Hehe, I even have a U Can 3D 46 sittin all pretty with no engine yet!!! Of course, I still aint
got room in the shop for all this stuff!!!

What Dark side[sm=pirate.gif]All that slime brightens our days HEHEHEHAHAHAHAHA (My evil laughter here)
Dave just wait until you try your first 4-stroker I won't buy any more 2-strokes except for my combat plane. I just got a JKaerotek FW190 and this thing flies like a demon with it's tail on fire. My first air to air battle will be Sunday

Got to love that slime.
