Flight Sim/ Radio question.. Oh Hi people:-)
Hope all is having a Great Day!!
Well I have been practicing 3D on my just arrived Aerofly Pro..
I've never owned a sim before, But used a couple "free" ones..
So even tho I feel AFP does a Great job and I'm spending hours
on it and loving it( the boss has said a few "words".. So you
spend your mornings at the field flying, then you come home
and spend hours on the computer flying %*&()^$#...:-)
I'm not sure how it does against the other "paid" sims... But...
I have an Air. RD 8000 which I use with the game and it has to
be on... Does it hurt the transmitter??? Has anyone been using
their own transmitter on sims with any problems?? I did call
Airtronics and they said it's no problem, But I wanted to ask the
working field so to speck...
Oh......:-) Is there a power supply that I can hook up to my
radio....:-).... It takes to long to recharge my trans. batteries,
And the "Boss" tries to use my time then...... She just don't get it!
Plus she said... Over a hundred bucks for a game!!!!! Well I can
see it's going to take a LOT longer for that plane you have been
talking about......

Keep on having fun. My dear departed wife never understood either. Came home from a weekend fly-in and she had departed.

pull the transmitter crystal or module and th epower consumption will greatly reduce, also you will not overheat the output transistor and burn it out and also won't be jamming anyone nearby.

i was going to say that you should have your antena extended so you don't burn up the radio, but I guess rlipsett had just covered that
