Default Where to put Z bend?

Hi,
Where is the best place to put a Z bend - on the servo arm or at the control surface?
Why?
Thanks,

at the servo arm,the reason being that your means of adjustment-the clevis,is accessible instead of being on the servo arm.

Most advisable to use Z bends on elevators ... not EZ connection if possible!

Big Chap said it best. Put it on the servo. that way you don't need to remove the wing to make quick adjustments at the field.

I and several others have never had a failure using the EZ connectors. The Z bends are a pain! I tried em and won't use em again! [8D]

I have also never had an EZ connector failure, but that's another subject. If you prefer Z Bends, put them at the servo.

Just get the GP z-bender, you'll never go back!

Default RE: It all depends.

I have a Graupner Z-bender. Very Nice.

On lightweight park flyers like my GWS Tiger Moth, I use a Dubro micro-something-or-other on the control arm (tightens onto the control rod with a screw) and a Z-bend at the control surface.

On bigger planes, I use a clevis at the control surface and a Z-bend at the servo.

Regards.
