Where to put Z bend?

at the servo arm,the reason being that your means of adjustment-the clevis,is accessible instead of being on the servo arm.

I had a no-elevator landing once, because of an EZ conecter.... no damage, but interesting... Throttle determans altitude saved me

I have a Graupner Z-bender. Very Nice.
On lightweight park flyers like my GWS Tiger Moth, I use a Dubro micro-something-or-other on the control arm (tightens onto the control rod with a screw) and a Z-bend at the control surface.
On bigger planes, I use a clevis at the control surface and a Z-bend at the servo.
