Well after lots of time at the flight field and some crashes I finally soled today. Oh man! What a good feeling!! The instructor had me take off, fly around some, and land. Then I took off again, did some approaches. (it was windy so I had to go around some times to get set up) Finally he reached over and shut off my motor and said "know how are you going to bring it in?" I cruised it in for a real nice landing and he signed me off.............. Yippie! Get the glue ready for the 4*40 kit.....

Thanks Wings and congrats to you too. It's quite a different feeling. I don't feel as much pressure now. There were about 6 or 7 other flyers there and I thought "maybe I'll come back in the evening and fly again when there's less people there. I really had a funny feeling about taking it up again so I started loading my stuff into the truck to go home. When I took the wing off and disconnected the aileron servo I found that the little plastic latch that holds the linkage together had come off and the linkage was hanging loose so I had only one aileron hooked up. It looked like it would have crashed for sure. Oh that would have looked good. "Here's your solo card" and then smash!!

Congrats to all you that recently soloed. Always nice to see this hobby giving to others what it has given to me. Much happiness. Sure, there's a few sad times but there's nothing like flying. It's the best feeling to me. Glad to see ya'll so happy to solo. Good luck!!!!!!!!!! Chris

Top achievement buddy, I soloed last Sun after 8 months of on and off flying. I am unable to go flying tomorrow and feel like I am depriving my plane of a weekly 'fix', or is it my weekly fix LOL.
