Gas Tanks and Engine
How do I go about hooking up the throttle, gas tank, glo plug etc???
I have an OS .46 FX
an OS spark plug
its never been run, brand new...
can someone just explain all the engine and fuel type stuff to me??

Best plan is to take all your goodies to the hobby shop and let them show you. Much better than a full page of text here. OR pick up the Harry Higley booklet on plane setup.

You should be able to find out most of the directions in the instructions for the engine and model. If you can't find them, there are many sites that allow you to download the instructions. I know towerhobbies has many airplanes you can download the instructions to. Kyosho too.
And... it's good to have someone check it out before the maiden even though it shouldn't be a problem as long as you can get through the running in. On that note, please check out the breaking in procedures here... there is a very different school of thought in terms of breaking in an engine than what is printed in the instructions

Just follow the instructions in the user manual for your OS .46. I have 2 of these engines, one running in a Arrow and my new one, in
a Tiger 2. The new one hasn't seen the first tank of glow fuel yet but I plan on following OS's directions for break-in.

Dave, you're kidding, right? I mean you'll get beatened by a cold salmon by at least half the people in RCU if you run the .46fx or .46ax in four stroke mode. Unless O.S. changed its breaking in instructions, I would follow a very different approach. I would simply fuel it and start it up. Let it run rich for a little while (to let it get up to temperature). Then set the high needle a 5-10 clicks rich and set the low speed needle so it idles confidently. Then fly. I don't know but that seems to be the attitude for breaking in ABC engines here. I'm sure you'll get lots of different responses but the general idea is don't every four stroke your engine... it is the quickest way to lose compression.
