How do I look ?
It's taken me days to get this far on RCU, its not easy
for me to get around on here yet . This is all new to me.
I got a PT 40 Trainer and decided to take it up by myself
and on take off, it got 1 foot off the runway it banked sharply
to the left and it the ground. Planes fine, broke the wooden
prop. I'll try again this weekend.

Your very cute... Great Job!! Well not on the plane part...

Yeah... Its hard to tell someone about the in's and out's of getting
into any hobby... There are some "MUSTs" .. But it can be done..
But would it be BAD if someone got hurt????? Something Damaged????
Great hobby... But as with all... There is responsibility....
Be Safe!!

Default rubber bands

Your right ,noboby around that day.
I'll have the pro's help me this weekend.
I need new rubber bands on the pt40 and
don't want to drive 50mile's to the hobby store
and get them. Can I use regular office type bands?

Sure, I think it's #64.... Just insure you have enough, and watch for
stretching.. I use to install my bands, then hold the planes front
band holders then push up on the leading edge of the wing to see
how much pressure it took to lift it, It would be hard for me to tell
you how much pressure that would be, But it worked for me..
Also though rubber bands are cheap, and worth it if you just want
to use once... But I always used about three times(Days) then got
rid of them.. After the first outting, I would put them in a baggie with
baking soda and leave in there until I needed more..

Have fun...Be Safe.... And enjoy the insanity:-)
