All depends how deep you're thinking of getting into the hobby. The Skysport 6 will get you flying without a doubt, but it's pretty limited. If you think you're gonna progress and have multiple planes, you may want to consider a 6 or 7 channel computer radio. It'll be a little more money but have a lot more capabilities.

Unless you are buying from a reputable source, I believe that there are some things where you are better off buying new. Unless it's a great deal, I like the insurance of new & the attached warrantee.

That said, there may be an advantage to getting a 'starter' radio and then upgrading later. If you are the kind of person to bring more than one airplane to the field, one can be on a different channel in case of a frequency conflict.

Eran,
I don't understand how the radio can be "used" and "new in the box". If the radio is new in the box, I would consider it depending on how good of deal you're getting and if it fit you needs.

Ask to try the system. Charge it up, hook it up, and have someone move the sticks while walking away WITH THE ANTENNA FOLDED.

If that person can walk 50 - 100 feet away and you still have good signal, go 4 it
