I am considering the Super Stearman as a 3rd plane. Anyone know about flight characteristics and what not on this plane. Considering a 1.50 power plant. Anyone have any thoughts.
Thanks

I can only tell you that my brother just bought one. I assume you're referring to the large (70 ish wingspan) ARF.
He hasn't finished putting it together yet, but the plane looks to be very well built, and the Cabane and "N" struts are superb! They look as though they're covered in fiberglass with a heavy "gelcoat" finish.
He bought a G-26 gas engine for his which is just over 1.5 cubic inches, and from what I've read, should be plenty of power for the plane.
Not sure whether or not it's a "3rd plane", but if you're confident in your abilities I'd say go for it.
I was unhappy when I found out my brother got one. I'd always wanted one, and he got a call from a local hobby shop owner saying, "the distributor just offered it for $299. If you want one I have to order it tonight". If I'd known, we'd both have one now. [&o]

Yes, that's the one I am thinking about. What an awesome looking airplane. Sounds like your brother was in the right place at the right time. Thanks for your input.
