Default engine parts?

I recently broke the inlet nipple off the carb on a OS .40 LA, and according to tower hobbies, the only way I can get a new one is to buy the whole carb housing assembly (according to thier website for parts anyways). You would think that you can buy just the plastic inlet nipple that inserts into the carb.

*shrug*

Cut it or grind it flush, drill it out to accept a piece of brass fuel tubing (the type that you have in the tank) and JB Weld it in place.
