Default 4*40 nose heavy

Just finished building my 4*40 kit with a TT46. Trying to balance it with the recomendations of the instructions it seems way too nose heavy. Any suggestions?

i'm having the same problem with my .40 4
i re enforced the afrt of the fuselage and extended the rudder even.
The engine i'm using is a brick.lol

I'm going to install the battery pack behind the servos mount.
a flat pack will fit under the rods.
I don't have a problem with mounting the pack in the canopy..I blacked out my canopy
cut off some the engine mount.
move the tank back as much as i can.
I installed lighter wheels already.
if need too, i'm going to drill ligthen holes in the ply pieces wing tips.

last resort, i would add weight to the tail.
the 4 * .40 is light compare to my other planes. Adding a little bit of wieght won't
hurt it much. Might even help it cut thur the wind better.

I am about done with my 4star40 with a tt 46 and I had to install the battery behind the radio compartment aft bulkhead. It seems to balance well that way. I also installed foam tires, a sullivan tail wheel with some extra wood reinforcement in the tail.

Thanks for the tips guys. I thought about putting the battery pack behind the servo area but it didn't look like it would fit. I'll give a try tonight. I want to get this puppy in the air before the monsoons hit. [:@]

I had to do the same thing. I put the battery pack in the frame just aft of the servos. Make sure you wrap it with padding and secure it.

Good Luck!
