Who is the moderator in charge in this forum? Pooman07 has sent me a threatening PM, and I don't appreciate it. Also, just look at the hobbico thread he started. He's truely a classless character.

Threatening PM?
Copy, paste, and post it here. Report it to the mods, and if it's REALLY threatening, report it to the proper authorities. Print yourself a copy for future laughs.
Otherwise, ignore him, and block him....
There was once a guy from "Canada" who got mad because I told him his "Skyward" engine wasn't a S.T., and he threatened to "come up there and know your chicklets out" Haw Haw! he obviously never made it here, and is still on the road, somewhere near the Artic circle!
I printed out the e-mail and still have it.

Damn, I just can't seem to get through the snow drifts in the Dakotas to get back to Canada. We know where you live jetsareblue & some day we'll come & eat those chicklets -- or something like that -- it would have to be on a non-flying day.

Not exactly sure what that guy's problem is. If he's not open to anyone's ideas, I'm not sure why he's on RCU asking for advice.
I keep seeing the word troll popping up in these forums. Would someone tell what the definition of a troll is. I've already determined its not good to be called one.

A troll is someone that purposely makes inflammatory posts in the hopes of causing ruckous and drawing attention.
For example, it I were to visit a Ford truck forum and say "Fords suck....chevy's rule!" I would be trolling.

Well, I'm not really feeling threatened by the pm, as I'm not really scared of the guy, I guess I should have just said he sent me a PM (which goes to my personal e-mail) that called me all kinds of names, and used language and inuendos that I don't want my kids reading. If it didn't go to my e-mail, I really wouldn't give a crap. Can anyone tell me how to make it where PM's don't go to my e-mail?

2 Slow,
Please do not post the message here. It is against RCU policy to make Private Messages public.
It is also against RCU policy to flame other members, public or private.
If you wish, you may forward the message to a moderator, and we will do what we can.
Also, to get PM's from reaching your email, Click "Settings" at the top, and uncheck "E-Mail notification of new Private Messages"

. I suspect when the word troll is used in these threads, Rubberduck's definition is more befitting.

troll
1. v.,n. [From the Usenet group alt.folklore.urban] To utter a posting on Usenet designed to attract predictable responses or flames; or, the post itself. Derives from the phrase “trolling for newbies” which in turn comes from mainstream “trolling”, a style of fishing in which one trails bait through a likely spot hoping for a bite. The well-constructed troll is a post that induces lots of newbies and flamers to make themselves look even more clueless than they already do, while subtly conveying to the more savvy and experienced that it is in fact a deliberate troll. If you don't fall for the joke, you get to be in on it. See also YHBT.
2. n. An individual who chronically trolls in sense 1; regularly posts specious arguments, flames or personal attacks to a newsgroup, discussion list, or in email for no other purpose than to annoy someone or disrupt a discussion. Trolls are recognizable by the fact that they have no real interest in learning about the topic at hand - they simply want to utter flame bait. Like the ugly creatures they are named after, they exhibit no redeeming characteristics, and as such, they are recognized as a lower form of life on the net, as in, “Oh, ignore him, he's just a troll.” Compare kook.
3. n. [Berkeley] Computer lab monitor. A popular campus job for CS students. Duties include helping newbies and ensuring that lab policies are followed. Probably so-called because it involves lurking in dark cavelike corners.
Some people claim that the troll (sense 1) is properly a narrower category than flame bait, that a troll is categorized by containing some assertion that is wrong but not overtly controversial. See also Troll-O-Meter.
The use of ‘troll’ in any of these senses is a live metaphor that readily produces elaborations and combining forms. For example, one not infrequently sees the warning “Do not feed the troll” as part of a followup to troll postings.

I checked out the hobbico thread. While the person you are talking about is obviously a real idiot, it kinda looks like you started it man.
