Just this past weekend I lost my Avistar in the blue sky. I had it kinda far out coming back in. I took a quick look left and right to see where the traffic was headed. When I looked back, I couldn't find it! I cut the throttle and kept hunting. Tt took me a good 15 seconds to find that thing in the slightly hazy blue sky. Kinda scary. Once I found it, I banked it some to make sure it was still coming in. Once I did that, I could see the white wing much better. So now I'm wondering if it's a good idea to do some wing rocks to try to track down a lost ink spot.

On a trainer it also helps to put real bright colors on the wings leading edge that way the ink spot can be seen quicker.. beginners have a bad habit of getting the plane to far out and cant see what it doing, so keep it over your head not out in the back forty, that way you wont lose it
