Oops -- perhaps I'm in the wrong forum. I'm not so much a beginner, having flown "sport" monoplanes such as the GP Easy Sport and have built and flown a Cloud Dancer 40 from RCM plans. Sounds like the Hog Bipe is the plane of choice for my skill level, although I still like the Tiger Bipe because it's an ARF. (I don't want to spend all winter building... half a dozen unbuilt kits now.)

US aircore Barnstormer is a great Bi-plane to fly as a second plane. It doesn't float that well on landing, but will take many a hard landing with no damage! It penetrates the wind well and is fun to fly. It may be ugly, but I have had a great deal of fun with this bipe.

I would vote on a Sig Smith Mini Plane. Mine is a very sweet flying plane and it fits in the trunk of my Malibu completely ready to fly. I fuel it range check it and Fly!!!!

Count one more vote to the Hog Bipe, I get this plane as my 3rd plane and I'm having a blast, I'm been flying since May, so don't get afraid of what other people said. Every single plane is different and you have to get use to it particular way to fly. I also flew ultimates and the super stearman from Kyosho, nice bipe also, but get the Hog Bipe, you will not regret it.

THAT IS SOME FUNNY STUFF.I SAY GET YOUR HANDS ON A SUPER AEROMASTER IT FLYS GREAT. ULTIMATE PILE,YOU GUYS.
