Default Freq of transmitter and receiver?

I have a simple question and couldnt find search. But i have a futaba 4 channel receiver and a JR Radio. If i buy a crystal for the receiver to match the transmitter will it work or is the JR and Futaba not compatable?

Thanks guys.

I think you're outa luck....from what I recall, JR shifts their signal one way(+ve?) and Futaba shifts it the other way...the end result is that they don't talk to each others receivers. You can get a Hitec receiver which has a jumper you can move to let it select which shift it receives... that might be an option for you... or you could get a an Airtronics RD series TX or Hitec eclipse/optra and be able to talk to anybody's (non PCM) receiver...that's a little more expensive though!

Right, your tranmitter and receiver will not work together.

Since you already have a JR transmitter the least expensive way out is to buy a JR receiver. Get the crystal that is the same frequency(channel) as your transmitter and you won't have any problems. You can use different brands of servos without any problems.
